The Development Economics Workshop (DEW) 2024, organised by Durham University Business School, convened scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to engage in in-depth discussions on pressing issues in global development. The event featured keynote addresses by Professor Kaushik Basu, Professor of Economics and Carl Marks Professor at Cornell University, and Dr. Desra Percaya, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Kingdom, accredited to Ireland and the International Maritime Organisation. Academics from around the world presented their research, contributing diverse perspectives and empirical insights.
